About full arch restoration and All-on-X dental implants
A full-arch restoration replaces a whole upper or lower set of teeth with a fixed bridge anchored on just a few implants, usually four to six. You may have heard of it as All-on-4 or All-on-X, where “X” is the number of implants your case actually needs.
Because the implants are placed at planned angles into your strongest bone, many patients avoid extensive grafting and can leave with a temporary fixed set of teeth in a short period of time.
The final teeth stay put. They don’t come out at night, don’t rock while you eat, and don’t cover the roof of your mouth like a denture.

Candidacy & Indications
Am I a Candidate for Full-Arch Restoration?
Full-arch implants are for people missing most or all of the teeth in an arch, or about to be. Candidacy is confirmed with a 3D scan and a look at your jaw bone. If you’ve been told “no” elsewhere, that often isn’t the final answer here.
You may still be a candidate even with:
- Insufficient bone for standard implants, which we can often rebuild with grafting.
- Failing teeth that are loose, broken, or infected and need removing first.
- A denture you’re tired of, one that moves or limits what you can eat.
Some factors need managing first, like active gum disease, heavy smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, or certain medications. We’ll assess all of it at your consult. Then the doctor will explain your options and help you understand what is realistic.

Our approach to full-arch restoration
Dr. Adam Janette is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He plans every full-arch case using 3D scanner technology before surgery day, so the implants go into the bone that will hold them best and your new teeth are built around your bite. He plans each case with your restorative dentist and our laboratory partner, Precision Dental Studio, so all three phases line up: the surgery, the lab fabrication of your teeth, and the final delivery by your dentist.
Because Dr. Janette handles the extractions and implant placement in one practice, your case is planned as a single coordinated plan, with your final restoration completed in coordination with your dentist or prosthodontist.

What to Expect
How full-arch treatment works
Before: consultation & planning
Your first visit is usually an evaluation, not surgery. Dr. Janette takes a 3D CBCT scan, maps how many implants your arch needs, and tells you whether temporary teeth within 24 hours are realistic for you. You leave with a treatment plan and a written fee quote.
During: surgery day
Performed under IV anesthesia. Any remaining failing teeth are removed, the implants are placed, and most full-arch approaches allow a temporary set of teeth within 24 hours.
After: healing & final teeth
Once they’re solid, your final custom teeth are fabricated and fitted by your restorative dentist or prosthodontist, in coordination with our office, and your bite is confirmed before they go on for good.

Your first weeks after surgery
- Some swelling and bruising for the first few days; normal, and manageable with the plan we send home.
- Stick to soft or liquid foods at first, then expand your diet as comfort allows.
- Wear and care for the temporary teeth as instructed, and keep the surgical sites clean.
- The implants finish integrating, usually over 8–12 weeks, then your final fixed teeth are placed.

When to call us
Contact the office for heavy bleeding that won’t stop with gentle pressure, severe pain not relieved by medication, worsening swelling after a few days, fever, numbness that doesn’t fade, or a temporary that feels loose or comes off.

Cost of All-on-4 Implants
The cost of a full-arch restoration depends on how many implants your case needs, whether grafting or extractions are involved, IV sedation, and the final teeth. We price it for your case at your consultation, in writing, so you can decide with the full picture.
Our office confirms what your dental plan covers before you come in and walks you through the numbers. Financing through a third party is an option if you’d like to spread the cost. And if a full arch isn’t the right call for you, Dr. Janette will say so.

Often, yes. When your bone allows, a temporary fixed set of teeth is attached within 24 hours of surgery. Your final teeth come later, after the implants integrate.
